Tristan Cano has quietly assembled one of the most diverse and deeply rooted careers among emerging artists on the New York operatic scene. A classically trained pianist, conductor, vocal coach, and performer, his artistic development has been shaped by direct connections to some of the most influential traditions of Italian opera and Bel Canto performance practice.
Over a seventeen-year career, Tristan has appeared in more than 200 productions — conducting, music directing, coaching, accompanying, and performing principal bass and bass-baritone roles across the standard and rarely heard repertoire.
